TR-069 / ACS

TR-069 ACS for zero-touch CPE provisioning

BillFi ships a built-in TR-069 Auto Configuration Server. Onboard subscribers without a truck roll, upgrade firmware fleet-wide overnight, and diagnose home Wi-Fi from the CRM — no SSH, no logins, no site visits.

Why operators pick BillFi

One click to push firmware, PPPoE creds and Wi-Fi settings to every router in the field.

Common headaches

What you're probably fighting today

Problem
Truck rolls for every install

A tech drives out just to type a PPPoE password. TR-069 provisions the CPE the moment it dials home.

Problem
Firmware fleet drift

Half your ONTs run 2021 firmware, half run 2023. BillFi ACS orchestrates staged, retry-safe upgrades overnight.

Problem
Blind to home Wi-Fi issues

Customer calls saying 'the internet is slow'. Pull live Wi-Fi channel, RSSI per client and reboot the router — from the CRM.

What's inside

Everything a TR-069 / ACS operator needs

Standards-compliant ACS

TR-069 CWMP over HTTP/HTTPS with TR-098, TR-181, TR-104 and TR-135 data models supported out of the box.

Provisioning profiles

Bind a plan to a profile — SSID, PPPoE, VLAN, QoS, port-forwards — and every new CPE inherits it on first inform.

Fleet firmware upgrades

Stage a rollout to 5%, monitor failures, then push to the rest. Automatic rollback on failed inform.

Live parameter tree

Browse and edit every data-model parameter on a live device — no CLI, full audit log.

Home Wi-Fi diagnostics

SSID list, channel utilisation, per-client RSSI and throughput history for supported CPEs (Huawei, ZTE, Nokia, HG8145, F670L, etc.).

Signed connection requests

Basic + digest auth, TLS ACS URL, per-device connection-request credentials — no rogue CWMP hijacks.

How it works

Live in a weekend, not a quarter

01
Point CPEs at BillFi ACS

Set the ACS URL via DHCP option-43 or the CPE's default template — BillFi handles inform bursts.

02
Build a profile

Drag data-model parameters into a profile, or import a golden config from an existing device.

03
Bind to a plan

Customer buys a package → ACS provisions the profile automatically on next inform.

04
Operate remotely

Reboot, factory-reset, upgrade, diagnose Wi-Fi — every action logged to the customer profile.

Works with

Plays nicely with your gear

Bring the vendors you already run. BillFi drops into the middle of your stack — no rip-and-replace.

FAQ

Answers, before you ask

Which CPE models are tested?

Huawei HG8145 / EG8145 / EG8245, ZTE F670L / F660, Nokia G-140W, Fiberhome HG6245D, TP-Link Archer series and MikroTik CPEs with the TR-069 client enabled. Any TR-181 / TR-098 compliant device will work — these are just the ones we regression-test.

Do you support ACS URL via DHCP option 43?

Yes — option 43 sub-option 1 is the recommended path. We also support manual ACS URL, factory-default template pre-bake, and vendor-specific TR-069 discovery methods.

Can I do staged / canary firmware rollouts?

Yes. Define a rollout: 5% to a target group, monitor inform success + custom health checks, then push to the rest. Failed devices auto-rollback.

How is home Wi-Fi diagnostics different from monitoring?

Monitoring is uptime + throughput at the router. Wi-Fi diagnostics reads the CPE's associated-station table, channel utilisation and RSSI-per-client — so you can tell if the customer's problem is the ISP or their neighbour's microwave.
